WHAT IS MULMUL?
Every year in August, kids from the neighborhood go door to door singing for the Buhe Holiday. When the kids come singing Mothers give them a special home made bread wrapped in banana leaves called “Mulmul”. That traditional bread that symbolizes joy and togetherness is the origin of our name.
በየአመቱ በነሀሴ ወር የሰፈር ልጆች ለቡሄ በዓል እየዘፈኑ ከቤት ወደ ቤት ይሄዳሉ። ልጆቹ እየዘፈኑ ሲመጡ፥ እናቶች የጋገሩትን በኮባ ቅጠል የተጠቀለለ ልዩ ዳቦ ይስጧቸዋል። ይሄ ዳቦ ‘ሙልሙል’ ተብሎ ይጠራል። እኛም ስማችንን ያገኘነው የደስታ እና አብሮነት ምልክት ከሆነው ይህ ባህላዊ ዳቦ ነው።

Mulmul Bread, Cake & Cookies Industry is a family owned bakery established in 1991. While our beginnings were humble, with one neighborhood bakery in 22 Mazoriya, we have since expanded to ten locations across Addis Ababa. Our ethos is quality, innovation our trademark and health our recipe.
